Nov. 21 event will celebrate achievements of women in the mining industry
Sudbury, ON – November 7, 2024 Women in Mining Sudbury is pleased to announce the first annual “Mining for Diversity” Gala, taking place on November 21, 2024, at the Steelworker’s Hall in Sudbury, Ontario.Â
The event will bring together industry leaders, advocates for diversity, and community members to celebrate the achievements of women in the mining industry. The gala will also feature the presentation of bursaries to women pursuing careers in mining, thanks to the generous support of industry sponsors.
The judging committee was built with community leaders from the industry including Jennifer Mailloux, Stuart Olsen Inc., Brad Hofford, Technica Mining, Theresa Nyabeze, Vale Base Metals and Christine Bertoli, Deswik.
